She has been described by her clients as a wedding day therapist and loves cats
When it came time to choose a career, Mel knew it would be art but wasn’t sure which medium.
Born and raised In the Ottawa area she knew she wanted to study locally so she chose the Photography diploma program at Algonquin College. Having been accepted to Makeup Artistry at Sheridan, Floral Design and Photography, it’s no surprise Mel fell in love with the wedding industry (after second shooting her first wedding in 2006)
Shortly after graduation while focusing on fashion and portraits, Melanie secured featured articles and cover photo-shoots with several magazines; photographing Catherine Clark, Richard Robinson and Nick Foligno along the way.
In 2013, Mel celebrated 10 years of being a professional photographer with a trip to New York City and saw her name in lights. Her customer service driven philosophy from recommendations at first consultation, to delivery of final images and personal touches are what set her apart.
