Each November Macleans Magazine hosts the Parliamentarian of the Year Awards, this year at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. The event is to honour the Members of Parliament who are exceptional at their jobs on Parliament Hill. TFY photographer Blair Gable has photographed the event for the last six years.

Editorial photographer Blair Gable photographed July’s super moon rising over the Rideau Canal and saw the photo used in newspaper and websites all over the world. From the Ottawa Sun to Time.com. Occurring when a full moon or new moon coincides with the closest approach the moon makes to the Earth, the Supermoon results in a larger-than-usual appearance of the lunar disk.
Recently, editorial photographer Blair Gable had a project on the new Canadian medical marijuana industry published by Macleans Magazine, Reuters, the Washington Post, and Sun Media outlets. After spending months working on the photo/video story at Tweed in Smiths Falls, here are the results.
